課程概述

The principles, case studies and practice of environmental and occupational health will be taught in the class. Key medical, physical, chemical and engineering principles will reviewed to provide students with sound scientific foundation of learning environmental and occupational health. Key conventional and new environmental and occupational health issues, both of domestically and internationally, will be taught in the class. The course instruction method will be combination of lecture, discussion, practice and field trips.  

課程目標
 The goal of this course is to establish a solid foundation for undergraduate students to have a first step in learning environmental and occupational health in practice. Students will learn core principles, key methods and important issues related to environmental and occupational health. On-hand practice will be emphasized to let students have a real-world appreciation of the business of environmental and occupational health. 
課程要求
 Students have to attend all one hour lectures and one hour tutor sessions each week except pre-arranged field trips. Students have to complete assigned readings before class in order to actively participate in class and tutor discussion. Students have to write a 3-page short essay in A4 paper. Each student is required to give comments on the essay by each of their classmates once per semester. A group term paper is required to demonstrate students’ intellectual ability of environmental and occupational health issues.
